What a Facilitator Does

A guide, not a counselor

A BPM Facilitator leads a live virtual cohort through one pathway and teaches the curriculum as written. BPM provides the curriculum, Facilitator Guides, slides, enrollment and support. You bring presence, preparation and care. Facilitators are independent contractors and complete BPM's leader certification before leading. We will open the first Founding Facilitator spots in 2027 for people with experience leading small groups, teaching in ministry, counseling, or fitness.

Interested? The short form below takes about 10 minutes. You can submit interest only, or a full application: either way you receive the Facilitator Opportunity Overview by email right away and a personal reply within 5 business days, and you are first in line when Founding Facilitator recruiting opens.

Who We Are Looking For

Qualifications and expectations

The first group is the Founding Facilitator track (2027, one to two people per pathway). The standard track opens later in 2027 for graduates of the pathways. We look for:

  • A living faith. Agreement with BPM's Christ-centered approach (Jude 1:20-22: build one another up, pray in the Holy Spirit, live in His mercy).
  • Experience leading groups. Small-group leaders, ministry teachers, Bible study or class leaders. Counselors and helping professionals are a strong fit for Emotional Renewal; fitness professionals for Physical Wellness. Facilitators guide; they do not counsel.
  • Comfort teaching live online on Google Meet, with a reliable computer, camera, microphone and internet connection.
  • Teach as written. You deliver the curriculum as designed and suggest changes through your cohort report.
  • Care and steadiness. You can hold space for grief, anxiety and shame, follow BPM's crisis protocol, and refer people to the right help.
  • Reliability. You prepare ahead, communicate promptly and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Willingness to sign BPM's agreements: independent contractor agreement, teaching commitment, and content security and acceptable use acknowledgment.

What You Receive

Training, tools and pay

  • Free BPM leader certification for your pathway (value $997 for Physical Wellness, $1,497 for Emotional Renewal, $1,997 for Spiritual Formation), in exchange for the teaching commitment below.
  • The curriculum and tools: Facilitator Guides, slides, the enrollment system, templates and support.
  • A teaching fee of $100 per week of instruction, paid after each cohort month. A 12-week Physical Wellness cohort pays $1,200.
  • A recruiting commission of 15% of the amount collected for each participant you enroll through your link, earned once each buyer's 14-day refund window closes.
  • Coaching: feedback from the CEO, a monthly facilitator circle, and a clear first-90-days plan.
  • A title: BPM Certified Facilitator (Provisional), then full certification after you complete the pathway, one cohort, and average 4.5 out of 5 or higher in participant satisfaction. This is a BPM credential only, not a state license, clinical credential or continuing-education credit.

Facilitators are independent contractors paid through Gusto. A cohort runs only with 5 or more paid participants. The signed agreement is the controlling document.

What You Are Expected to Produce

Preparation, delivery and reporting

Before you teach

  • Complete BPM leader certification and the pathway's Foundations course, and stay at least two weeks ahead of your cohort.
  • Review each week's Facilitator Guide at least 2 days before the session.

Each week

  • Send the reminder email from BPM's template 1 day before.
  • Teach live on Google Meet and record attendance in the Attendance form.
  • Submit the Weekly Cohort Report within 48 hours and follow up with anyone who missed.

Final week

  • Send the satisfaction survey and the completion email.

Results in your agreement

  • 80% or higher participant completion per cohort.
  • Average satisfaction of 4.5 out of 5 or higher.
  • Coaching benchmarks (not contract terms): recruit one or more participants per cohort and attend the monthly facilitator circle.

Teaching commitment

  • Lead 2 complete cohorts within 12 months of certification (1 if a Spiritual Formation cohort runs the full 24 weeks). If BPM does not offer you 2 cohorts that reach 5 participants, the commitment counts as met for the cohorts not offered.
  • If you leave early, certification repayment applies: 100% of its value with no cohorts completed, 50% after one, and nothing after two. No repayment is owed for death, disability, serious illness, a family emergency, or if BPM ends the agreement without cause. Payments can be spread over up to 6 monthly installments.

Care and confidentiality

  • You are a guide, not a counselor. Follow BPM's crisis protocol (stay calm, give the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, call 911 for immediate danger, and tell the CEO the same day).
  • What participants share is confidential. Never record sessions on a personal device or account.

How Applying Works

Including your trial presentation

  1. Interest or application form. Tell us about your faith, experience and preferred pathway. You receive an automatic confirmation with the Facilitator Opportunity Overview.
  2. Application review (about 5 business days). We review fit, experience and alignment with BPM's approach.
  3. Trial presentation. If it looks like a fit, you are invited to teach a 15-minute segment on Google Meet from an excerpt of the BPM curriculum, followed by a short conversation and two scenario questions (about 40 minutes in all). This is your interview: we want to see how you teach, and you see what the work feels like.
  4. How we evaluate. The same scorecard for every applicant: faithfulness to the curriculum, clarity and teaching craft, warmth and presence, handling of Scripture, guide-not-counselor boundaries, crisis readiness, and professionalism.
  5. Decision (within 5 business days). An invitation to join, a place on the waitlist, or not at this time, with feedback if you want it.
  6. Agreements and onboarding. You review and sign BPM's agreements, set up payment through Gusto, then begin Team Core, the Facilitator Track and leader certification.

Recruiting for the Founding Facilitator track opens in 2027. Applying now puts you first in line.
